7/22-7/26: KidzArt Animal Style Camp, entering grades 1-5 , from 9-12

In this camp, students will explore the wild and not so wild life around them.  As they do so, they will create exciting animal-inspired pieces from a variety of media.  From walking sticks to frogs, students will experience a part of the animal world they may not have considered before. We’ll get messy as you explore different art mediums: pastels, acrylics on canvas, sculptures, collage, chalk pastels and more. This KidzArt camp is a drawing-based fine art program with a diverse multimedia curriculum that meets National Standards for Art Education. Discovery and self-expression are fundamental to KidzArt programs where creative spirit is nurtured while building friendships and having fun!

This camp is all about exploring the styles, techniques, concepts, and legacies of female artists who deserve to be household names. A variety of projects in 2 and 3D, across media both common and unusual, in styles both contemporary and classic, work together to provide campers with a new level of insight and appreciation. Campers will grow to know, love, and respect artists and great works by making sure that the ones who were women are as equally studied and celebrated as others. If you are looking to round out a curiosity for art history, or even just looking for an unusually cross-curricular way to appreciate art, this camp is one designed to do all that with curriculum that meets National Standards for Art Education. KIDZART: Fine Art Studio (All new lessons)

This camp is a blend of drawing, painting, collage and sculpture for those students who want a little bit of it all . At KidzArt Fine Art Studio camp, you’ll make a masterpiece every day as you bring your artistic skills to the next level with 2D and 3D projects. We will show you how to use perspective, color, shading and texture to achieve amazing results in your drawings and paintings. TEENZART: Fine Art Studio

TeenzArt Fine Art Studio captures the passion and imagination of older students. This camp provides quality art instruction that mixes technique and skill building with opportunities for creative freedom and self expression. We have big plans in store including painting, sculpture, watercolor, pastels, printmaking and mixed media with projects that pack a lot of WOW! The outside world comes alive in this camp where we are inspired by nature. From leaf rubbings and clay pressings, to paintings of trees and insects, we celebrate nature through art! Join us for a mixed media camp all about nature with lessons that meets National Standards for Art Education. Your budding artist will explore many techniques of art using pastels, watercolors, acrylics, clay, and more! All projects are sure to delight boys and girls alike. 7/8-7/11: Underwater Adventure, entering grades 1-5, from 9-12

Submerge yourself in a fun art experience as we explore life under the water. Paint a dolphin on canvas, design a futuristic underwater vehicle, draw an underwater Fish Café, experiment with salt water painting and take home some artwork you’ll be proud of. This KidzArt camp is a drawing-based fine art program with a diverse multimedia curriculum that meets National Standards for Art Education. Discovery and self-expression are fundamental to KidzArt programs where creative spirit is nurtured while building friendships and having fun!

Fee is $175

 

7/15-7/18: Go Green and Get Smart, entering grades 1-5, from 9-12

Use everyday materials to create fabulous works of art. Learn how to draw a car of the future and find out exactly what makes it run. Create unique mixed media pieces with found, unusual and recycled materials and assembled with imagination. Experiment with printmaking, watercolor painting, collage and sculpture. This KidzArt camp is a drawing-based fine art program with a diverse multimedia curriculum that meets National Standards for Art Education. Discovery and self-expression are fundamental to KidzArt programs where creative spirit is nurtured while building friendships and having fun! Each student will need to bring in a shoe box and several food boxes like cereal or pasta boxes, and if possible a cardboard cylinder like an oatmeal container.

7/15-7/19 Woodland Friends  from 9-12

In this art camp, students will explore the wildlife area of Fisherman’s Cove.  As they do so, they will create exciting animal-inspired pieces from a variety of media.  From bugs to turtles, dragonflies to birds, the snake, rabbit, and chipmunk, students will experience a part of the animal world and natural habitat they may not have considered before. This KidzArt camp is a drawing-based fine art program with a diverse multimedia curriculum that meets National Standards for Art Education. Discovery and self-expression are fundamental to KidzArt programs where creative spirit is nurtured while building friendships and having fun! Your child will explore different art mediums from oil pastels to acrylic paint, clay, watercolor, collage, and chalk pastels.

8/19-8/23:  We Love Bugs, entering grades K-2, from 9-12

Some artists are inspired by beautiful sunsets, others by abstract colors.  Young entomologists in our KidzArt camp will be inspired by bugs and the environments they live in.  Come explore a world so tiny that you may need a magnifying glass to see it! Have fun as you investigate the amazing variety of insects through drawing, collage, sculpture, and water media.  Take a break and listen to fascinating stories about bugs.  No art experience necessary!  We provide a safe, nurturing and creative environment for your child as they learn new skills.

All afternoon camps are for ages 6-12. Camp fee is $105 per week.

7/1-7/5 (no camp on 7/4): Famous Artists

Create  sculpture, painting, drawing, watercolor and printmaking, all inspired by famous artists. Camp fee is $84 for the 4 days.

7/8-7/12:  Art Around the World

Explore countries and cultures of the world through art and architecture. Each day we will ‘travel’ to a different country and create 2D and 3D projects in different artistic styles.

7/15-7/19:  Zoofari!

Grab your jungle hats, we’re going on safari! Check out all kinds of cool creatures and the places they live. Learn how to draw and sculpt some of your  favorite animals.  Try some bold patterns, colors and crazy animal designs.

7/22-7/26: Underwater Adventure

7/29-8/2:  KidzArt Down on the Farm

Join in the fun of everything that has to do with the farm - build your own barn and fill it with clay animals, make a rooster collage, paint a beautiful sunflower on canvas!

8/5-8/9:  Circus Circus!

Trapeze, high wire, dancing elephants, face painting, all are part of the thrill of the circus.  Learn how to draw or create all these and more in a safe, nurturing environment.

Camp registrations are non-refundable 14 days prior to camp, but schedule changes may be made on a space available basis.
